Villa Scudo is a luxury villa with a swimming pool situated in the heart of the Etruscan region, just a short distance from the sea and renowned towns like Bolgheri, Castagneto Carducci, Volterra, and San Gimignano.

The interiors are designed in the authentic Tuscan architectural style, featuring arches, vaulted ceilings, and a warm color palette. The villa comprises a total of nine double bedrooms, each with its own ensuite bathroom. Two bedrooms are located on the ground floor, offering direct access to the garden, while the remaining seven are on the first floor. One of the bedrooms includes a private lounge with the option of accommodating two additional beds. All bedrooms are equipped with air conditioning.

The villa's strategic location allows easy access to the local wellness center and natural spas situated in the Montescudaio DOC area, at the edge of the Terratico of Bibbona. It is only 15 km from the town of Bolgheri, renowned for its world-famous vineyards producing Supertuscan wines like Sassicaia, Ornellaia, and Masseto.
Volterra, one of the oldest cities in Italy, is about a half-hour drive away, offering one of the largest Etruscan collections globally in the Guarnacci museum and captivating Roman ruins. The town center features a maze of winding cobbled streets connected with narrow, arched alleys that open to large squares surrounded by medieval palaces.
San Gimignano, with its wonderfully intact medieval center, is easily reached within an hour's drive. Furthermore, a one-and-a-half-hour drive from the villa will take you to the renowned attractions of Pisa, Siena and Lucca.

We can hold dates for you for 48 hours while you make sure everything lines up, then you simply pay the deposit (30% of total) to secure your booking. The balance will then be due 10 weeks before you travel.

If you simply need to change your dates please let us know: we can often modify your booking rather than cancelling outright.
Many local administrations now charge a “Tourist Tax” for people staying in rented accommodation and these vary from town to town. The charges are generally per person per night with a maximum number of nights, usually around 5 but sometimes 7, beyond which they will not charge. The charges range between 50 cents to 5 euro. Children are sometimes included, sometimes not and these charges should be collected by the property owners.
