Gently resting in the folds of the hills of the famous Val d'Orcia area of Tuscany, Villa Fiammetta is a delightful base for exploring all the famous cities and sights of the area. From medieval Siena to papal Pienza or the incredible gardens of La Foce designed by Iris Origo, everything is within easy reach. If enthusiasm should wane, staying at home offers equal delights, with an amazing 24m. long swimming pool, of which the last 6 metres are tucked into the shade and cover of an ancient Tuscan barn.
The villa also has a barbecue area that enjoys extraordinary views of the Val d’Orcia, with a quiet courtyard or a spacious shaded pergola for fabulous meals 'al fresco'.
The owner is a famous architect and he has furnished the villa in the traditional Tuscan style. The villa is divided into tow separate and independent apartments, giving a little independence and privacy to make multi-generational holidays go just a little more smoothly.
The left wing apartment is 260 sqm and sleeps 7 guests. One enters into a large well-equipped kitchen with a large stove (9 burners and 2 ovens) ideal for keen cooks, as well as a microwave oven, freezer, dishwasher, toaster, american coffee machine, blender and kettle. A dining room gives access to a courtyard with a long table for 15 people. Also on the ground floor you will find a double bedroom with ensuite bathroom and independent outside access. A smaller bedroom, ideal perhaps for teenagers, is on the balcony with a single bed and a private bathroom.
On the first floor you will find a double bedroom with ensuite bathroom with hydromassage bath. A further double bedroom with ensuite double shower-room, and a covered terrace, also accessible from the outside, with a view over the swimming pool and the Val d’Orcia.
The right wing apartment is also 260 sqm with space for 7 guests. The kitchen of this right wing apartment is similarly well-equipped, with a large "Restart" 9 burner stove. There is also a lounge room with satellite TV and a fireplace, warm and romantic with coloured walls. This room, called the blue room, has a private bathroom with a large shower and direct access to the pool; comfortable divans and two beautiful arm chairs. There is a dining area with space for 15 people, and access to a furnished patio. Also on the ground floor you will find a double bedroom with access to the outside, ensuite bathroom with large double shower and access to the covered swimming pool. Second double bedroom with bathroom ensuite and large double shower and access to the outside near the kitchen well.
On the first floor you will find a large double bedroom with a canopied bed, an ensuite bathroom ensuite with a jacuzzi bath with a great view. A second large double bedroom with ensuite bathroom and fireplace.
When one thinks of Tuscany, the images that spring to mind are often those of the rolling hills of the Val d'Orcia, south of Siena, with cypress lined roads leading up to perfect medieval villages and towns. Villa Fiammetta is ideally placed in this landscape, within easy reach of famous towns in the Val d'Orcia, of historic cities like Siena, of wine towns like Montalcino or Montepulciano, not to mention world-famous Chianti.
Florence and Arezzo are also within easy reach, and for the more relaxing days, the area around Villa Fiammetta has a number of excellent hot springs and spas.

We can hold dates for you for 48 hours while you make sure everything lines up, then you simply pay the deposit (30% of total) to secure your booking. The balance will then be due 10 weeks before you travel. You can also add "Booking Protect" to your booking for a full refund if you can't travel.

Many local administrations now charge a “Tourist Tax” for people staying in rented accommodation and these vary from town to town. The charges are generally per person per night with a maximum number of nights, usually around 5 but sometimes 7, beyond which they will not charge. The charges range between 50 cents to 3 euro. Children are sometimes included, sometimes not and these charges should be collected by the property owners.
