San Romito is located in Pieve di Caminino, a little hamlet in the beautiful Maremma countryside between Roccastrada and Massa Marittima, is set in a natural, verdant amphitheatre, with enormous olive groves extending down from the wooded, rocky background towards the coast.
The charming and knowledgeable owners, who speak perfect English, have continued the cultivation of the olive groves started by their forefathers, and produce some of the most delicious olive oil in Italy. Their family history has long tradition of famous painters and architects. With excellent taste and skill they have converted the little hamlet into characteristic apartments and cottages for visitors, one of which is San Romito.
As well as the panoramic views, there are over 500 ha. of woodlands to explore, and an ornamental lake has lawns furnished for sunbathing, flowerbeds and a cooling sprinkler. Within 20 minutes' drive are thermal spas and hot waterfalls. The site for the swimming pool has been carefully chosen to protect the peace and architectural integrity of the hamlet.
Romito is the name of the Saint that lived at Caminino in the 16th century.
This lovely top floor apartment on the Pieve di Caminino estate has a dining/sitting room with an open fireplace, a double bedroom, a shower room, and a furnished terrace facing the woods.
The swimming pool is a short walk away, with views of olive groves.
