This is the upper part of Casa Ropoli, a large farmhouse on the main drive leading up to Montestigliano estate.
This spacious apartment is reached by an external staircase leading up from the drive and the views from this house are beautiful, perhaps the best on the estate.
Entrance to the apartment is from the loggia, a spot that quickly becomes guests' favorite place to linger and watch the world go by.
Furnished for meals al fresco, it is just a door away from the open-plan main room comprising a living area with a sofa and armchairs in front of an open fireplace and a well-crafted kitchen area with an island and a dining table for four.
A long corridor leads up to two bedrooms, a double and a twin, which share a shower room. There is a covered parking area below Damiano, the house across the drive, and with their car safely stowed, guests will find it a short walk to the closest pool, the Family Pool, just at the top of the drive.
The stay at Ropoli was wonderful. The house was absolutly perfect for our family of 4. It was cosy and tastefull. We had lovely walks in Mostestigliano, and we enjoyed delicious restaurants around thanks to Francesco. The team at Mostestigliano was very hepful with all sort of questions and always ready to help. The autumn in the region is very beautiful and quiet. We are planing to be back and already spotted some other property on Invitation To Tuscany website!Juliette & Jeremie staying in Ropoli Sopra . Guests on the estate share two swimming pools, one reserved for those who want peace and quiet, the other, further from the houses, for allowing free rein to summer holiday fun. Guests at all the properties may wander at will all over the estate. Part of the lands front the River Merse, which has excellent swimming and is protected for bathers by the Sienese authorities. The tiny village of Torri, with its famous monastery and striped cloisters is two minutes away by car, while there are pizzerie and restaurants within a few minutes' drive. A very important extra here is provided by the charming owners who will unobtrusively keep out of your way or happily go out of their way to help you, providing endless extra services if you require them, from sending faxes, arranging balloon trips, providing touring information, to translating at the doctor's.
During the summer concerts and exhibitions are often organised in the ancient granary, an extraordinary lofty space (14 X 28 m.) spanned by great arches laced with tie bars. This barn is also very suitable as studio space for art courses or conferences, and the rooms below, next to the estate offices, include a games room with billiards, TV, ping pong, a dining room, a catering kitchen and a small gift shop. The little restaurant provides delightful suppers twice a week.

Many local administrations now charge a “Tourist Tax” for people staying in rented accommodation and these vary from town to town. The charges are generally per person per night with a maximum number of nights, usually around 5 but sometimes 7, beyond which they will not charge. The charges range between 50 cents to 3 euro. Children are sometimes included, sometimes not and these charges should be collected by the property owners.
