Best place to park in Perugia

The historic centre of Perugia, like many Italian cities, is pedestrianised, but there are plenty of parking spots around the city. My favourites are the ones with long escalators that carry up right into the centre of the city, even going underground at some points, and through a medieval section of the old city buried when a new fortress was built in the sixteenth century!
