Oliveta, formerly a private olive mill for an affluent Italian family in the 16th century, is today a beautiful holiday villa enveloped by picturesque terraced olive groves that offer breathtaking views of the Vorno valley and the medieval towers of Lucca.
The villa features an alfresco dining area equipped with a barbecue and a beautifully lit swimming pool, bordered on one side by an avenue of trees and on the other by fragrant, vibrant blooms. This setting is ideal for those in search of a tranquil Tuscan getaway, all while remaining conveniently close to major Tuscan cities like Pisa and Florence.
Oliveta offers the perfect balance between traditional Tuscan country living and modern convenience. The spacious lounge area has exposed wooden ceiling beams and traditional prints on soft furnishings, the fully equipped kitchen features tiled floor and a large dining table for up to eight guests. The four individually styled bedrooms comprise three double rooms and one twin room. Each of these bedrooms is complemented by its own en-suite bathroom. The villa is also equipped with contemporary amenities including Wi-Fi, air conditioning, satellite TV, and a centralized music system.
The ground floor of the villa features a spacious living room with direct access to the outdoor dining area and the park, a leisure room and a fully equipped kitchen complete with a center island that is perfect for cooking lessons or preparing delightful meals. On this floor, you'll also find a laundry room with a washing machine and dryer, as well as a guest bathroom for added convenience.
Ascending six steps from the main area, you'll discover the master bedroom with an en-suite bathroom equipped with a shower.
The first floor of the villa accommodates three bedrooms, two furnished with a queen-size bed and complemented by en-suite bathrooms, and one featuring twin beds that can be converted into a double bed. If needed, baby cots can be provided for an additional fee.
Every bedroom is equipped with air conditioning, heating, and a safe. Some offer views of the pond, while others provide vistas of the garden, swimming pool, and the surrounding olive groves.
Oliveta, a fully restored villa that has retained its historic charm, stands as the ideal choice for those who desire a relaxed Tuscan getaway while remaining within convenient reach of the renowned attractions of Lucca, Pisa, Florence, and the seaside destinations of Versilia, including Forte dei Marmi and Viareggio.
A half-hour drive will take you to Viareggio, a well-known seaside resort famous for its carnival, which dates back to 1873 and features elaborately crafted papier-mâché floats that parade along the promenade known as "Passeggiata a mare" during the weeks of Carnival.
Viareggio is also home to two pinewood parks. The first, Pineta di Ponente, is a short walk from the promenade and offers a wide range of attractions, including a swan pond, tennis courts, miniature golf courses, and bike rental facilities. The second park, Pineta di Levante, is an extensive green area with an array of kiosks and restaurants crossed by the Viale dei Tigli, passing by the historic Villa Borbone and leading to Torre del Lago.
