Villa Costa is a beautiful and typical Tuscan villa close to the Tuscan coast, surrounded by beautiful views which are best enjoyed from the infinity pool. The villa is located in what we might call the "Tuscan Riviera", known as the Costa degli Etruschi and is just a short drive from the sea and the renowned towns of Bolgheri (and the excellent Super Tuscan wine producers and Castagneto Carducci.
The building underwent a careful conversion and restoration in 2010, and great care was taken to keep the traditional Tuscan building materials and forms whilst incorporating modern conveniences, including Wi-Fi and air conditioning. Today the villa can comfortably welcome up to 20 guests in elegantly furnished ensuite bedrooms. The villa has secure private parking, a covered portico with two spacious dining tables, a BBQ area, a children's play area, and a magnificent heated swimming pool. It is the perfect setting for creating cherished memories with friends and family during pleasant evenings, perhaps while indulging in a famous Florentine steak and savoring local Bolgheri DOC wine.
The villa is divided into two separate apartments, one accommodating 8 guests and the other accommodating 14. In total, the villa has 10 bedrooms, each with its own private bathroom. Additionally, there is a tower with two beds and a bathroom.
The smaller apartment for 8 guests comprises two double bedrooms with bathrooms on the ground floor, an open kitchen, a dining area with a fireplace, as well as two double bedrooms with canopies and bathrooms on the first floor.
The larger apartment, which can accommodate 14 people, features two double bedrooms with bathrooms on the ground floor, a spacious lounge room, an open kitchen, a fireplace, a dining area, and four double bedrooms with canopies and bathrooms on the first floor. Furthermore, from this apartment, you can access the tower with a room containing two beds and a bathroom.
The ground floor areas of the villa and one of the bedrooms in the smaller apartment provide direct access to the surrounding garden.

A half-hour drive from Villa Costa will lead you to the enchanting Marina di Bibbona beach, known for its pristine waters and expansive sandy shores. From there, your journey continues to Bolgheri, an internationally acclaimed region celebrated for its "Super Tuscan" wine producers. The next destination on your itinerary is the picturesque municipality of Castagneto Carducci, named after the esteemed poet Giosuè Carducci. Widely recognised as Italy’s official national poet of the modern era, Giosuè Carducci spent his formative years in this charming town. Among its main attractions, the Giosuè Carducci Literary Park and Museum-Archive stands out, dedicated to the preservation of materials that shed light on the poet’s life and literary contributions.
During your beachfront stroll, be sure to explore the historic Villa Margherita, a Marina commissioned by Walfredo, Count della Gherardesca, and Count of the Donoratico and Castagneto (1865 – 1932) as a gift for his wife, Donna Margherita dei Principi Emanuele Ruspoli. Furthermore, take the opportunity to visit the family's nearby chapel, which was designed by the esteemed architect Luigi Caldini and constructed between 1922 and 1923. This visit provides a fascinating glimpse into the rich cultural history and architectural heritage of the area.

We can hold dates for you for 48 hours while you make sure everything lines up, then you simply pay the deposit (30% of total) to secure your booking. The balance will then be due 10 weeks before you travel.
Simply add "XCover" to your booking for a full refund if you can't travel. For more details see our Booking Conditions and XCover. You can add XCover to your booking at any time until you have paid your balance, ask your agent. If you simply need to change your dates please let us know: we can often modify your booking rather than cancelling outright.
Many local administrations now charge a “Tourist Tax” for people staying in rented accommodation and these vary from town to town. The charges are generally per person per night with a maximum number of nights, usually around 5 but sometimes 7, beyond which they will not charge. The charges range between 50 cents to 5 euro. Children are sometimes included, sometimes not and these charges should be collected by the property owners.
