Tangi is an elegant villa set in the serene countryside on the western coast of Sicily. Once a traditional walled farm, known as a Baglio, this centuries old property has been renovated and remodelled into something special, blending the history of its origins with contemporary comforts.
Original stone walls, beamed ceilings, and warm wooden accents give character to the spacious bedrooms, the kitchen, dining room and living areas. The landscaped garden is an absolute delight: a jasmine-covered pergola provides a retreat for relaxation and alfresco dining, while the inviting pool provides space to refresh. Three terraces, one on the front terrace and two rooftop terraces, provide space to bask in the Mediterranean sun while enjoying panoramic views of the Sicilian landscape.
The house sleeps 6 + 2, with three double bedrooms and two single beds that can be added for two extra guests (preferably children) in two of the bedrooms.
On the ground floor there is a dining room with seating for 8 guests, featuring a large arched picture window facing the back garden, and a mix of traditional and contemporary furniture. The front living room has a TV and wide French doors leading out onto the front pergola.
On this floor there is also a fully professional kitchen with a central island and skylight, a laundry area with a washing machine and bathroom. Additionally, a double bedroom featuring a queen bed (160 x180 m) and a spacious ensuite bathroom with shower provides garden view and direct access to the front terrace and. A second double bedroom with a queen bed (160 x180 m) and a spacious ensuite bathroom with shower offers pool view and direct access to the garden.
On the first floor there is a double bedroom with a queen bed (160 x180 m) with a private bathroom with shower and access to two private roof terraces.
Villa Tangi offers an ideal base for exploring the historic cities of western Sicily, as well as the Egadi Islands of Favignana, Levanzo, and Marettimo, easily accessible by a 20-minute ferry ride from Trapani.
The coastal gems of Cornino, Scopello and Castellammare del Golfo are just a 20-minute drive away, while a 30 minute’s drive will take you to the archeological site of Segesta and the medieval walled town of Erice, perched on rocky cliffs with breathtaking views of the sea.
Less than a 45 minute’s drive will take you to San Vito Lo Capo, famous for its rock-climbing opportunities, and the coastal towns of Marsala and Trapani, known for their historical significance, wine production, and the stunning salt pans stretching between them. Selinunte, home to impressive Greek ruins, including temples and an acropolis, is approximately an hour's drive from the villa.
Palermo, Sicily's vibrant capital city, and the Unesco Heritage site of Monreale are both an hour’s drive away. The Valley of the Temples, located in Agrigento, an archaeological site with well-preserved ancient Greek temples, as well as another major attraction of the region, Cefalù, are about a two-hour drive from the villa.

We can hold dates for you for 48 hours while you make sure everything lines up, then you simply pay the deposit (30% of total) to secure your booking. The balance will then be due 10 weeks before you travel.

If you simply need to change your dates please let us know: we can often modify your booking rather than cancelling outright.
Many local administrations now charge a “Tourist Tax” for people staying in rented accommodation and these vary from town to town. The charges are generally per person per night with a maximum number of nights, usually around 5 but sometimes 7, beyond which they will not charge. The charges range between 50 cents to 5 euro. Children are sometimes included, sometimes not and these charges should be collected by the property owners.
