Situated directly on the shores of Lake Como, with a private dock and exclusive lake access, Villa Cecilia is 19th-century villa that has been magnificently renovated by its owner, an Italian fashion designer, to incorporate quintessentially Italian designs.
The villa’s interior spans 400 square meters across three floors, in a seamless blend of timeless elegance and contemporary convenience, featuring a curated collection of homeware and furniture from renowned designers, architects and artists such as Fornasetti, Gae Aulenti and Roberto Minotti. The garden is accessible via a stairway, equipped with chairs and sunbeds shadowed by a century-old Lebanon Cedar tree and an Olea fragrans that scents the air with its fragrant white flowers. At the heart of the garden lies a fishpond adorned with a waterfall and a bronze statue depicting a Faun, inviting guests to immerse themselves in the splendour of their surroundings.
Villa Cecilia offers accommodation across its three floors, each designed to provide comfort, luxury, and stunning views of Lake Como.
On the first floor, upon entering, guests are greeted by a spacious living room adorned with a working fireplace, two sofas, and a dining area that opens onto a furnished terrace, ideal for al fresco dining.
The fully equipped kitchen boasts modern amenities, including a table for eight, a fridge with an ice maker, a six-burner stove, two ovens, dishwasher, an espresso and cappuccino coffee machine, an American coffee machine, a toaster, juice maker, and food processor.
The second floor houses three elegantly appointed bedrooms, all offering air conditioning and breathtaking views of Lake Como. The Green bedroom features a luxurious double bed (180 cm x 200 cm) with memory foam mats and pillows, as well as a Liberty-style bathroom with a tub and a safe for valuables.
The Red and Yellow bedrooms are twin bedrooms with two beds (90 cm x 200 cm each), which can be combined into one double bed. They share a bathroom equipped with both a tub and a shower.
The third floor hosts the enchanting Room Fornasetti, a twin bedroom with two beds (90 cm x 200 cm each) that can be joined to form a double bed. This room also boasts memory foam mats and pillows, along with a luxurious bathroom featuring a marble basin and a large Jacuzzi shower with Chromotherapy.
The lower level and garden area feature an Infinity pool (8m x 4m x 1.4m) with a Jacuzzi, chaise lounges, and garden furniture, providing an oasis for relaxation.
Additional amenities include a family room equipped with a plasma TV, SKY TV, and SOUND FLY System for entertainment. A sofa bed is available upon request.
Other amenities include a guests' powder room and a laundry room complete with a washing machine, dryer, iron and ironing board, ensuring guests' convenience throughout their stay.
Located in Laglio, on the western shore of Lake Como, Villa Cecilia serves as an ideal base for exploring Lake Como and the surrounding area by boat or by car. Within a five minutes’ walk from the villa, guests will find an array of shops and restaurants, providing a taste of local cuisine and culture.
A scenic 20-minute drive will lead guests to the historic city of Como. Encircled by imposing medieval walls, at the city centre visitors can explore Romanesque and Gothic-style churches, and historic landmarks such as Villa Olmo and the Volta Museum.
For breathtaking panoramic views, a visit to Brunate is a must. Often referred to as "the balcony of the Alps", the town a town that overlooks Como from the top of a hill 715 meters (about 2,345 ft) high.

We can hold dates for you for 48 hours while you make sure everything lines up, then you simply pay the deposit (30% of total) to secure your booking. The balance will then be due 10 weeks before you travel.

If you simply need to change your dates please let us know: we can often modify your booking rather than cancelling outright.
Many local administrations now charge a “Tourist Tax” for people staying in rented accommodation and these vary from town to town. The charges are generally per person per night with a maximum number of nights, usually around 5 but sometimes 7, beyond which they will not charge. The charges range between 50 cents to 5 euro. Children are sometimes included, sometimes not and these charges should be collected by the property owners.
