Veneto is a beautiful region in the north-east of Italy, bordered to the north by the Dolomite mountains. It is a varied and interesting region with fantastic wines, beautiful mountains and great cities, all of which are often out-shone by the fame of one of the world's most famous cities, Venice. By all means come to Veneto and visit "La Serenissima" but don't overlook Verona or Treviso, nor forget to drink some Prosecco or Valdobbiadene, and nor miss visiting the Dolomites, Lake Garda and seeing some of the famous renaissance Villas.
