Best airport for Umbria, Italy

Umbria has one airport, the "San Francesco d'Assisi" (PEG) airport in Perugia, within its territory, but can also be easily reached from Rome, Florence, Pisa or Ancona, with Bologna and Genova slightly more distant options. Perugia airport is small and only has short haul flights, so a better option for long-distance visitors is to fly into Rome, take the "Leonardo Express" into Rome's Central station, Termini and get a train up to Perugia from there. (You can find tickets on Trainline).
