Kitchen equipment is good quality and includes a dishwasher. The large bathroom has a tub and separate shower stall. There is a double bedroom, and from the twin bedroom wide, glazed doors open onto a partly covered private terrace at the rear with lovely views down the valley.
Around Il Fagiano
Il Fagiano makes a lovely addition to the Agresto farm property. Converted from a detached barn, it has lovely views from the fenced, private lawn at the front, and the partly covered, private patio at the rear. At the front of the farm, one path leads down to a well stocked duck pond, another leads to the fitness equipment beneath a shady pergola and to the large swimming pool, all within a gentle, evocative framework of vineyards and olive trees. With a wide, travertine-tiled surround, and plenty of sun loungers, the swimming pool is a soft ochre colour, blending comfortably with the olive groves and vineyards. Set in a delightful position down the hillside from the farm, it has extensive and beautiful views across to the Chianti hills. As well as individual furnished patios, there are ample places in the gardens and pinewood for relaxation, and children will enjoy feeding the ducks and playing on the swings. The shared laundry room (small fee), has a washing machine and ironing equipment The owners are charming, conscientious hosts, to whom nothing is too much trouble. Casole d'Elsa is 15 minutes away on foot, or less than five minutes by car, and a good restaurant and the village tennis court are five minutes' walk away. The views, the swimming pool and the position are excellent, and all the famous towns and sites of Tuscany are within easy reach.
