There are now a number of operators flying to Tuscany, and other airports in Italy close to our properties. The main airport in Tuscany is Pisa, with flights from a number of UK locations. Some of them are only run during the summer months, so availability may depend on when you are flying. Booking early is always useful and allows you to find the cheapest rates, though some companies, like Ryanair, only let you book a limited time ahead. Half term holidays and other festivities are always more expensive. Have a look below for tips on finding the cheapest and best flights out to Italy.
British Airways fly from Gatwick rather than Stansted, so are easier to get to from Western London. You can fly for as little as £70 return if you book your tickets well in advance.
Ryanair is the best known of the cheap flight operators and flys to Pisa, Bologna, Genova from London Stansted. Ryanair have now got a £2.99 each way offer on for flights to Pisa from London Stansted, provided you book two weeks in advance. The offer runs til the 14th of July. There are no seats assigned and the flying times for the really cheap flights tend to be at awkward times, but it can be a real saving on your total holiday costs!
Jet2 have just started running flights from Manchester to Pisa for as little as £17. We have never flown with them but as soon as we find someone who has we shall give you more feedback. Meanwhile they are a welcome operator who at last connects Tuscany with the north of England.
