There
are now a number of operators flying to Tuscany, and other airports in
Italy close to our properties. The main airport in Tuscany is Pisa, with
flights from a number of UK locations. Some of them are only run during
the summer months, so availability may depend on when you are flying.
Booking early is always useful and allows you to find the cheapest rates,
though some companies, like ryanair, only let you book a limited time
ahead. Half term holidays and other festivities are always more expensive.
Have a look below for tips on finding the cheapest and best flights out
to Italy. The links to the sites are in the titles...
British Airways
Surprisingly, BA do have cheap flights. They are not 5.99, but the seats are more comfortable, the service is better and they fly from Gatwick rather than Stansted, so are easier to get to from Western London. You can fly for as little as 70£ return if you book your tickets well in advance. British Airways
Ryanair
Ryanair is the best known of the cheap flight operators and flys to Pisa, Bologna, Genova from London Stansted. Ryanair have now got a 2.99£ each way offer on for flights to Pisa from London Stansted, provided you book 2 weeks in advance. The offer runs til the 14th of July. There are no seats assigned and the flying times for the really cheap flights tend to be at awkward times, but it can be a real saving on your total holiday costs! Ryanair
Jet2.com
Jet2 have just started running flights from Manchester to Pisa for as little as 17£. We have never flown with them but as soon as we find someone who has we shall give you more feedback. Meanwhile they are a welcome operator who at last connects Tuscany with the norht of England. Jet2.com
ThomsonFly
ThomsonFly also connect Pisa with unusual airports - You can now fly to Pisa from Doncaster(Sheffield), Bournemouth and Coventry from as little as 33.49£ - again, untested, but worth a try -you could save a fortune in parking or train costs if you could leave from closer to home!
