“If there’s a more spectacular location in all of Tuscany, we’d like to know about it. The 15th-century Lookout Tower stands alone on a remote, rocky headland thrusting out towards Elba, cliffs and crags to the right, miles of beach to the left, forest behind and the glittering Tyrrhenian Sea in front. The top-floor bedroom has the best view in Italy. An hour south of Siena, the complex — tower, converted barracks, old chapel and a whirlpool bath in the well house — sleeps eight and costs £2,646/£3,968 through Invitation to Tuscany (020 8444 9500, invitationtotuscany.com). Fly to Pisa with Ryanair (0871 246 0000, ryanair.com) or Jet2 (0871 226 1737, jet2.com).”

It’s taken a while, but the new website is finally online, and we hope you will all like it. We’ve tried to keep the features you liked, and have added the ever more useful possibility for you to check availability and book a stay online. We feel that our personal knowledge of the area and of the houses is a great strength, and we are always happy to give you advice and to discuss your needs – but sometimes you just want to make sure that you can put a hold on the property you want – the new site allows you to do just that. We’ve also added (and shall be continuing to add) all the things we can help you book and do in Tuscany, from Cookery classes to long walks and to wine tasting tours – we hope you like them.
A big thank you to Mixd and please let us know what you think of our new site!

Dear Laura & Susan,
We have just had a lovely holiday at Fonte di Sopra.
Thank you both for all your help and advice when I was planning it. The house is very big and airy, and the situation absolutely beautiful. [...] there is an excellent barbecue and the bar/restaurant does good takeaways.
Many thanks and best wishes,
Heather

Just wanted to say thank you – we had a fantastic time at Il Piaggione – we really enjoyed our stay and the beautiful views from the villa. We even took Vieri up on his wine tasting which was very enjoyable – would recommend this to any other guests!!
